A hard frost can kill tender plants in a single night. A little preparation in November saves most of them.
- Move pots against a house wall and raise them on feet
- Wrap tender shrubs in fleece, not plastic
- Mulch the roots of half-hardy perennials
- Drain and winterize the irrigation system
- Keep off frozen lawns
Wet roots freeze harder than dry ones. Good drainage is the best frost protection. Mei, planting designer
Our Full Care plan includes winter protection and the irrigation shut-down.
